Personal Chef

Born and raised in a rich agricultural community just outside of Harrisburg, PA, Reneeā€™s family cultivated, harvested, and preserved much of what they ate, from gooseberry jam and pickled beets to homemade dandelion wine.

Her passion for the culinary arts began at a young age, eventually leading her to Drexel University, where she honed her skills on a James Beard Scholarship. After refining her expertise, she launched a personal chef business in Philadelphia, focusing on fresh, high-quality ingredients and bringing people together through food.

While mentoring students in a work-study program in West Philadelphia, Renee saw firsthand the lack of nutritious meals and food education in schools. This experience ignited a passion for teaching, inspiring her to become a culinary instructor, empowering children to cook with confidence.

In 2024, Renee relocated to the DMV, where she continues to share her love for food and community. Outside the kitchen, she enjoys hiking with her dog, listening to live music, and traveling. Some of her most cherished moments come from sharing stories over coffee or a thoughtfully prepared meal.
